Fried Shrimp

This weekend I went back to my parents house and decided to make a meal for my parents. While I know my mom doesn’t really like seafood she does like shrimp so I decided to make fried shrimp with the air fryer my parents own. I used a bag of frozen shrimp but did make my own coating for them.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bag of peeled and deveined shrimp ( or more if you’re serving more than 3)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups of Italian style bread crumbs
  • 1 dash of garlic powder
  • 1 dash of red pepper flakes
  • a small amount of shredded Parmesan cheese

While there are not a ton of ingredients, the majority of them are used by being mixed into the bread crumb mix to coat your shrimp.

Instructions

  • Wash all the shrimps in cold water and dry
  • Crack the eggs in a shallow bowl and salt and pepper as needed
  • Mix the eggs into an even yellow color
  • I’m a separate bowl combine breadcrumbs garlic powder red pepper flakes and Parmesan
  • Place shrimp into egg mixture and cover the whole shrimp
  • Place egg covered shrimp in the bread crumb mixture and coat evenly
  • Once all shrimps are covered places them in the fryer for about 7 minutes on 375 degrees
  • Flip shrimp halfway through the cooking time

This dish is fairly simple to make but the main struggle I have with it is finding a side to pair it with in the picture I tools we had rice and salad but there have been other times where I used the shrimps to add as meat to tacos which works extremely well.

  1. Sounds delicious! I’m not the cook of the house but I asked my husband what he would pair with the shrimp (since he loves shrimp) and he said either roasted asparagus or creamed corn and then maybe some roasted parmesan potatoes. I like it all!
