Spicy Dr Pepper pulled pork

Let me start with saying that I really do enjoy barbecue it’s like one of my favorite things to eat in general. Pulled pork and ribs being my two favorites and I’m also a big fan of spice so this one is really really good to me

Ingredients

  • A small pork shoulder (3-5 pounds)
  • 24 oz of dr pepper(2 cans)
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 table spoon of hot sauce
  • I can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat to 300 degrees
  • Season the pork with salt and pepper
  • Pour the chipotle pepper can and the Dr Pepper into a pot with the pork and brown sugar
  • Cover and let sit in the oven for about 5 to 6 hours (or until falling apart)
  • Shred the meat and add the hot sauce into the pot
  • Strain out the fat and return the meat to the pot so it can soak up the juice some more

Being a big fan of barbecue I think this is such an amazing recipe and am glad to share it with you all
